Easy Drop Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all purpose flour

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • 1 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Whisk together flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder in a large bowl.

  2. Add the heavy cream, use a specula to mix until a dough is just formed.

  3. Shape the dough into an 8 x 8 inch square on a floured surface, cut into 16 squares ( or simply use an ice cream scoop to scoop the dough on a baking sheet.

  4. Melt the butter, brush on the biscuits.

  5. Bake at 425 F for about 18-20 min.

  6. Brush another layer of butter on the biscuits.
